Guest Chefs from the Yachats Lions Club are cooking for the February Lunch Bunch on Thursday, February 20th, 1200N at the Yachats Lions Hall, with another Mexican themed lunch. The core of the meal will be Tamales both meat and vegetarian. They will be complemented by Mexican rice, refried beans, green salad, and several Mexican themed deserts.
At the last lunch, David spoke of the five babies that were part of the Three Kings Cake and in February those that “won” them would provide people with Tamales in February as part of Candlemas Day. It turns out that we have a new member, Lion Ursulas, that volunteered to make the Tamales for those that got the babies.
A donation of $5 is suggested but no one will be turned away from a hot meal.
