Oregon Silverspot Butterfly Community Conservation

The Lincoln SWCD continues to enhance habitat for the Oregon Silverspot Butterfly through community collaboration with private landowners. Tyler will share information on current efforts and the programs that uplift the vital work to keep this species on the landscape. Community members can expect to learn a brief history of the butterfly, the habitat that supports it, and opportunities to join in the effort to enhance habitat on your own property.

Tyler joined Lincoln SWCD in September 2021 moving quickly into his current role as Executive Director. Tyler leads the Oregon Silverspot Butterfly conservation efforts and the Noxious Weeds Control Programs at the Lincoln SWCD. His work over the last several years has expanded the community conservation work on the Midcoast supporting private and public landowners as they work to improve habitat for the Oregon Silverspot Butterfly. In addition to community conservation work, Tyler also convenes the Mid-Coast Water Planning Partnership and works on a wide variety of water conservation projects with local, State and Federal partners.
